The world consist of approximately 49.7% of women and out of those a huge chunk (71%) of women use sanitary pads during their menstruation cycles.
Your normal non-biodegradable pads leads to pollution of around 200,000 tonnes of waste per year. We see pads lying on roads and on mud and there is no way they can be decomposed or absorbed into the soil. They are harming the ecosystem and the pads we currently use if worn for long periods of time can be very harmful for our vaginal health.
We at “THAT TIME” aim to start a sustainable, semi-reusable and eco-friendly pads which are hygienic and have antiseptic properties as well. It comes in two parts the outer reusable covering made of hemp and pineapple fibres respectively and the changeable refill. We do also give a anti-bacteria detergent along with the reusable part of the pad which can be washed and worn multiple times. This also ensure cleanliness and hygiene to women.
